You've caught the trickster in him subtly and well, l/f

Tanya Filichkin replied:

Appreciate your kind words and support, Gina- thank you! It is always interesting and sometimes very surprising how different viewers can interpret the artwork. Personally I never considered B.Dylan to be a trickster and definitely was not trying to capture such trait, even subtly. Philosopher, genius poet and musician, idol and inspiration for many generations, very intriguing person, but never a trickster - of cause it is only my humble opinion, and it can be different from others.

Tanya, great tribut to this iconic genius of all times. I have always admired his works, his prolific career, his touching and poignant lyrics and everything about him. LOVE your art. LF

Tanya Filichkin replied:

Hi Anne-Elizabeth- good to see you again in my gallery- appreciate your interest, comments! More than agree - Bob Dylan gave a different perspective on music and initiated absolutely new direction, changed and influenced rock music history forever. I consider myself as a post Bob Dylan, more like Led Zeppelin generation, however, after being on his live concerts a few times and listening him more I got absolutely converted to his intelligent, sophisticated, philosophical lyrics touching you deep to the core- and here I am, devoted fan of this genius musician… Thank you for leaving fabulous comment on this painting and your support.

He never really could sing but ah.. what a poet/writer!!!

Tanya Filichkin replied:

Thank you for looking at this painting and expressing your opinion Barbara - kindly appreciate your comment and voting! Indeed, Bob Dylan is a genius as a poet and writer, but I think he is a great singer as well. By the Rolling Stone magazine professional rating, he is 7th best singer out of the greatest 100 singers of all times, see the link below. After listening him during live concerts couple of times (recently - just a month ago in Portland, OR) I can not agree more with the description of his voice by the author in the RS magazine: howling, seducing, raging, indignant, jeering, imploring, begging, hectoring, confessing, keening, wailing, soothing, conversational, crooning. It is a voice like smoke, from cigar to incense, where it's full of wonder and worship. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/100-greatest-singers-of-all-time-19691231/otis-redding-20101202 Best wishes to you
