The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music". Inside out instrumental is from "People, Hell and Angels" posthumous studio album . it contains twelve previously unreleased recordings of tracks he was working on for the planned follow-up to Electric Ladyland. It was released on March 5, 2013.
